January is a good time to start planning your garden for next season. I keep a google doc every year called “Plants for…” and the 2025 list already has 9 new plants for the upcoming season. Without this list, I probably would have forgotten 8 of them already 🤪

This purple-powered plant is native to the eastern United States and Eastern Canada and is a favorite native nectar plant (for both gardener and monarchs) in our Minnesota garden.
